Has anyone else noticed that the 24 buss now seems to end many of its journeys at the triangle at st georges square?
Sometimes i see buses coming from the vauxhall bridge road direction and starting their journey from the triangle. this leaves those of us who use the bus from claverton street with fewer buses/ I thought the buses were to serve the public.

The 24 still starts and finishes in Grosvenor Road. The reason they stop in the in the St George's Square triangle is that they change drivers there. The new driver then goes on to the destination. Annoying if you are on one stopping for up to 5 minutes - as I was today - but it is to let drivers off near to public transport, ie Pimlico Tube. If they stop more than 5 minutes they should be reported. They are also meant to turn their engine off when they are stopped there. Sally Tooth

I've also seen buses coming from Vauxhall Bridge Road - and I've seen them terminate at Westminster and come straight along past Millbank to get here. There's some kind of monitoring about frequency in certain parts - I've been 'howked' (good Geordie expression!) off a bus at Victoria, when it was clearly destined for Pimlico when i got on it, to allow it to turn round and pick up straight away. On Monday this week I was sitting on a bus at St Georges Square heading to town, and there were four 24s in a line. London General are clearly managing the route differently to Metronet - which may not be a bad thing! there's a comprehensive timetable here: www.londonbusroutes.net/times/024.htmand some background info here: www.londonbusroutes.net/photos/024.htmB
