I hear that Mantilla are asking to extend the opening hours of the bars in the square. someone told me that it is only for the bar in the hotel and for us mere mortals who use the bar and grill. does anyone know what is the truth?

Not sure about that, but i have also heard we may be enjoying al fresco dining and drinking soon - the brasserie is going to have a few tables in the Spanish garden - is that true does anybody know?

I've read the applications on Westminster Council's website. The extension applied for is clearly for the Residents' Lounge in the refurbished 'hotel'.

I wonder if they would let us take glasses out into the Garden, or whether they have to decant beer / wine into plastic glasses?
