It is now 1.45 on Tuesday morning. I have just called Security because of the noise in the garden. Drunken singing. Not conducive to a peaceful night's sleep.
UPDATE: Security rang me about 15 minutes later (prefer if you didn't do that, guys, I'd just dropped off back to sleep) to say the noise wasn't in the garden but in nearby Beatty House and that they had spoken to the culprit who apologised.

It's several hours later and I'm now fully awake. Just a quick word of thanks to Security for their prompt action response earlier.
Some of the newer tenants may not realise that some parts of the garden act as sound amplifiers.

My sympathies on the noise!
I was woken up at 420am by a neighbours alarm clock going off for about 15 mins, and I ended up going round to talk to him about it myself, as it wasn't the first time it had gone off! Although Security did come round promptly, they couldn't hear the noise from outside our front door - not surprising, as it was through the party wall in to the next house - and they said that they couldn't do anything, so I went round myself!
I think I must have scared the neighbour as I've not heard a peep out of him since - to be fair, I don't think he had any idea that the noise was piercing the wall!
