Tenants should be aware that Mantilla is now creeping about the building checking the state of the rubbish cupboards. Cupboards that in Mantilla staff's opinion are dirty result is a warning from the management to the tenant.
While no one wants rotting food, unpleasant smells, and other 'orrible stuff in the hallways, we know of at least two tenants who have sent these warning notes despite their cupboards being reasonably clean.
Tenants should be aware of this latest development as failure to comply could result in playing straight into Mantilla's hands.

An update on yesterday's comment. It appears that every tenant received the note about keeping their rubbish hatch clean. This was apparently not what general manager Simon Pratt intended. The rubbish collectors have been authorised to pop a note in the letterbox of tenants whose rubbish hatches are genuinely dirty. Obviously if this prevents bad smells and vermin infestations, it is to be welcomed.
It is worth noting that we tenants have obligations in our leases too. One of these to keep our flats, and that includes the rubbish hatch, clean.
